The Open Ancient Capital Conference on Science and Technology : The COVID-19 pandemic and other priority public health issues for the 2020s decade

The Open Ancient Capital Conference on Science and Technology is an annual activity of Thua Thien Hue province, Viet Nam. The conference is a forum for exchanging and sharing research results and management experiences in all fields of science to foster public awareness and the transfer of science and technology to enhance people's lives in the province and thoughout the country.

In 2022, Thua Thien Hue provincial Association of Public Health and Preventive Medicine in collaboration with the Faculty of Public Health and the Institute for Community Health Research of the University of Medicine and Pharmacy, Hue University, will host a scientific conference on Public Health.

The main theme will be “the COVID-19 pandemic and other priority public health issues for the 2020s decade”.  The Organizing Committee would like to invite domestic and international scientists, healthcare staff,  students and community representatives to register to participate and present papers at the Conference.

Dates: 20th -21st August 2022.

• Impacts of the pandemic on health care for people with NCDs
• Management of the health system during the pandemic
• Mental health needs and long-term effects of COVID-19 on patients' health
• Lessons learned in the prevention of COVID-19

• Non-Communicable Diseases among elderly people and health management in aged care
• Nutrition and physical activity across the lifespan
• Reproductive health care and Maternal and Child health
• Evidence-based health policy

• Language: English and Vietnamese

Conference fee

• In-person atendance: 500.000 VND/guest;
• Paper presenters and sponsors are free to attend

Guidelines for submission of abstracts

• Summary reports on research work, overview reports on conference topics in Vietnamese and English (The summary form can be viewed in the attached file or at the conference's website).

• Accepted abstracts will be published in the conference proceedings
• All abstracts should be submitted to the Conference by email or by following the link:
